Periodically, we fill up big trucks (26 to 28 footers), trailers, and our own pick-ups, and we set out to cross the border and travel into Mexico
Our first such trip was in 2003, when we delivered $5,000 worth of consumables, which tallied over 18,000 pounds of rice and beans.
In the years since, we have made four such trips, which have included delivering much more than consumables:
- Christmas gifts
- Wheel chairs
- Major appliances (refrigerator)
